FARMINGTON, Minn. – Competing on their home mats at Farmington High School on Feb. 21, the Farmington Tigers qualified four wrestlers for the MSHSL Class AAA State Tournament with strong performances at the Section 2AA Individual Tournament.
Leading the way was senior Davis Parrow at 152 pounds, who secured his fifth career state berth. Parrow earned a fall in 3:02 in the semifinals before claiming the section title with a 20-4 technical fall victory in the championship match.
At 145 pounds, Ethan Mangowi punched his ticket to state in dominant fashion. After recording a technical fall in the semifinals, Mangowi sealed his advancement with a 21-5 technical fall in the finals to capture the section championship.
Blake Han-Lindemyer continued his consistent postseason success at 127 pounds, earning a 10-8 decision in the championship match to qualify for state for the third time in his career.
At 107 pounds, eighth-grader Luke Stevens secured his spot at state with an 8-2 decision in the first-place match, capping a strong tournament run.
Several other Tigers placed during the event, highlighted by Joshua Walker's third-place finish at 189 pounds and Chase Stevens' third-place finish at 160 pounds, as Farmington battled throughout the day in front of its home crowd.
UP NEXT
Parrow, Mangowi, Han-LLindemyer, and Stevens will represent Farmington at the MSHSL Class AAA State Tournament, scheduled for Feb. 25-28 at Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul, Minn.
