Farmington, Minn. -- In a boys swim and dive meet held at the Dodge Middle School pool on Tuesday, the Farmington Tigers demonstrated their skills and emerged victorious against the Hastings Raiders with a final score of 97-80.
In the varsity competition, Logan Lesher (9) showcased an impressive performance, securing 1st place in diving and improving by 10.85 points, setting a new personal best score. Jake Peterson (12) dominated the 500 free, claiming 1st place with a time of 5:05.91. Collin Hawkins (10) excelled in the 100 Breaststroke, securing another 1st place for Farmington. Adam Moorlach exhibited prowess in the 50 and 100 freestyle events, clinching 1st place in both. The 400 Free Relay team, consisting of Adam Moorlach (11), Eli Montgomery (10), Hudson Maakestad (10), and Hantruy Nguyen, sealed the victory by taking 1st place.
In the junior varsity category, Ethan Lyons (11) stood out by capturing 1st place in the 200 IM, impressively shaving off 4.56 seconds from his best time. Wyatt Ziegler (8) made a noteworthy debut by achieving a sub-1 minute time in the 100 freestyle, clocking in at 59.54 seconds. Ziegler also set a new personal best time in the 100 breaststroke, further contributing to Farmington's success in the meet. The Tigers' comprehensive performance displayed their depth and determination, securing a well-deserved win over the Hastings Raiders.
