Boys Hockey Falls To Century/JM In Section 1AA Semifinal Game

Rochester, Minn. -- In the Section 1AA Boys Hockey Tournament semifinal game played at Rochester's Graham Arena, the #6 seeded Farmington Tigers faced off against the #2 seeded Rochester Century/John Marshall Panthers.

After securing a thrilling victory over the #3 seeded New Prague Trojans just two nights prior, the Tigers were eager to continue their postseason journey. However, the Panthers came out strong, dominating the first period with three consecutive goals. Landon Kanz opened the scoring for Rochester Century/John Marshall at 4:52, followed by goals from Bennett Pronk and Calvin O'Reilly, giving the Panthers a 3-0 lead heading into the first intermission.

The momentum remained with the Panthers in the second period as Calvin O'Reilly notched his second goal of the game early on, extending their lead to 4-0. Ole Fevold capitalized on a power play opportunity to further solidify the Panthers' advantage. Despite their best efforts, the Tigers struggled to generate offense and were unable to find the back of the net.

Heading into the final frame with a commanding 5-0 lead, Rochester Century/John Marshall continued to control the tempo of the game. Brody Josselyn capitalized on another power play opportunity, increasing the Panthers' lead to 6-0. However, the Tigers managed to avoid a shutout as Nick Marsh found the back of the net at 6:27 of the third period, with an assist from Jackson Donahue.
