Lakeville, Minn. -- At the Section 1 AAA True Team Invitational hosted by Lakeville South High School on Tuesday, May 7, both the Farmington Tigers boys and girls track & field teams secured 8th place out of 10 competing teams.
In the Boys 100m,
Kingsley Obikwelu led the Tigers with a 13th place finish, clocking in at 11.25 seconds. The Girls 100m saw a standout performance by
Marianah Scott, who secured 2nd place with a time of 12.49 seconds, earning valuable points for Farmington.
In the Boys 400m, McKenzie Donlan clinched the top spot, completing the race in 50.45 seconds, contributing 30 points to the Tigers' tally. Similarly, Mariah Fenske dominated the Girls 1600m, crossing the finish line in 5:07.80, securing 30 points for Farmington. Andrew Crisp showcased his talent in the Boys 3200m, earning 5th place with a time of 10:10.85, adding crucial points to the team's score.
In the field events, Jada Henrikson excelled in the Girls Discus Throw, claiming 5th place with a throw of 117-01 (35.69m), while Hunter Harris stood out in the Boys Long Jump, securing 3rd place with a jump of 21-05.50 (6.54m). The Boys 4x200 Meter Relay team showcased exceptional teamwork, finishing in 1:31.16 and securing 1st place, contributing 32 points to Farmington's total.
