FARMINGTON, Minn. -- In South Suburban Conference action on Tuesday night, the Farmington Tigers faced off against the Lakeville North Panthers, suffering a 4-1 defeat. The Tigers' second loss of the season saw them struggle to keep possession and find their rhythm against a strong Lakeville North side.
Madigan McGhie scored the lone goal for Farmington, a well-placed shot assisted by Olivia Gallivan in the second half. Despite some bright moments, including five corner kicks and nine crosses, the Tigers were outmatched by the Panthers, who maintained 58.7% of the possession and put up 20 shots to Farmington's three.
The Panthers controlled the game with their passing, completing 153 successful passes compared to the Tigers' 74. Lakeville North's attacking pressure was relentless, netting four goals and keeping Farmington's defense on their heels throughout the match.
