FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers secured a thrilling 4-3 victory over the Apple Valley Eagles on Thursday night at Schmitz-Maki Arena. The Tigers improved to 12-5-1 overall and 8-1-1 in South Suburban Conference play, setting up a marquee matchup against the Rosemount Irish for the conference lead.

Farmington jumped out to a fast start in the opening period, fueled by Jenna Goblirsch's two goals. Goblirsch opened the scoring at 7:36 with help from Amelia Goblirsch and Addison Trapp before adding her second tally at 10:19 off an assist from Taylor Risch. Apple Valley responded quickly, with Brinley Gretz scoring to even the game briefly before the Tigers regained control.
The Tigers added to their lead in the second period as Jenna Goblirsch completed her hat trick at 11:41. Farmington's defense, anchored by strong goaltending from Makena Underwood, held Apple Valley to just two shots in the period to preserve a 3-1 advantage heading into the third.
In the final frame, the Eagles pushed back, narrowing the lead with Kamrin Turnquist's goal at 2:30. However, Goblirsch struck again for her fourth goal at 4:40, proving to be the game-winner as Apple Valley's Avery Ryan added a late goal to finalize the score at 4-3.
