FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers earned a convincing 4-1 victory over the Irondale Knights on Saturday afternoon at Schmitz-Maki Arena. The win improves the Tigers to 6-9-1 overall and marks their second win in the last three games.
RECAP
After a scoreless first period, Farmington took control in the second. Tegan Gylling opened the scoring on a power play at 12:01, assisted by Drake Anderson. Moments later, Nick Marsh extended the lead to 2-0 with an even-strength goal set up by Gylling brothers Tegan and Tanner.
Farmington maintained momentum into the third period, with Tanner Gylling scoring just over four minutes in, assisted by Jacob Miller and Tegan Gylling. Miller capped the Tigers' scoring with a shorthanded goal at 6:14, demonstrating Farmington's ability to capitalize on special teams opportunities.
Irondale broke through midway through the third period with a goal by Rylan Remore, but Farmington's defense and goaltender Chris Bade held firm to secure the win.
Bade had an outstanding performance, stopping 16 of 17 shots for a .941 save percentage.

The Tigers return to South Suburban Conference action on Tuesday, January 21, when they host the Eagan Wildcats at Schmitz-Maki Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
