Farmington Swim and Dive Falls Short to Eagan in SSC Meet

EAGAN, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers boys' swim and dive team traveled to Eagan on Thursday, January 2, 2025, for a dual meet against the Eagan Wildcats. Despite a series of impressive individual and relay performances, the Tigers ultimately fell short, finishing second with a final score of 77.5-108.5.

RECAP
Farmington's varsity team started strong with a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay. The team of Daniel Budde, Collin Hawkins, Hudson Maakestad, and Tyler West clocked in at 1:49.71.
In the 200-yard freestyle, Eli Montgomery tied for second place with a time of 1:55.73, followed closely by Justin Raymond in fourth at 1:56.21.

Junior Hantruy Nguyen delivered a standout performance in the 200-yard individual medley (IM), securing first place with a time of 2:07.65. Collin Hawkins also contributed with a fifth-place finish at 2:17.07.
In the 50-yard freestyle, senior Adam Moorlach claimed second place with a time of 22.66, while Tyler West secured third at 23.38.

For the 100-yard butterfly, Adam Moorlach earned first place with a time of 56.04, and Daniel Budde followed in third with 1:00.47.

The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Adam Moorlach, Tyler West, Eli Montgomery, and Hantruy Nguyen delivered an exciting first-place finish with a time of 1:33.73.
In the 100-yard backstroke, Daniel Budde took first place with a time of 1:01.30, and Wyatt Ziegler followed in fifth at 1:11.30.

In the 100-yard breaststroke, Collin Hawkins secured third with a time of 1:10.89, while Ethan Lyons took fifth at 1:13.69.

The Tigers concluded the meet with a second-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay, with the team of Adam Moorlach, Eli Montgomery, Ethan Lyons, and Daniel Budde posting a time of 3:42.05.
