ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Farmington boys hockey team continued its strong start to the 2025-26 season with a dominant 10-1 victory over Rochester Mayo on Tuesday night at the Graham Arena Complex. The Tigers scored early and often, improving to 2-0 with wins over back-to-back Section 1AA opponents.

Farmington jumped out quickly in the first period behind two goals from Tanner Gylling, who found the net at 4:19 and again at 7:52 to give the Tigers an early 2-1 lead after Rochester Mayo briefly tied the game. Joe Hambrecht added a third goal at 10:47 to give Farmington a 3-1 lead heading into the intermission.
The Tigers blew the game open in the second period, netting six goals in just under 10 minutes. Isaac Dapper scored twice in the frame, including a power-play goal at 3:03 and an even-strength tally at 10:42. Tegan Gylling, AJ Vinar, Adam Jelmo, and Jackson Donahue all added goals during the second-period surge, as Farmington built a commanding 9-1 lead.
Hambrecht added his second of the night on the power play at 4:40 of the third to cap the scoring. In total, 13 different Tigers recorded at least one point in the win, and Farmington finished 3-for-4 on the power play.
Defensively, the Tigers limited the Spartans to just 21 shots. Goaltenders Kian Hauser and Chris Bade combined for 20 saves, with Hauser stopping all four shots he faced in the first period and Bade turning aside 16 of 17 the rest of the way.

Farmington now enters an 11-day break before opening South Suburban Conference play. The Tigers return to action on Saturday, December 7, when they host Eagan at Schmitz-Maki Arena. Puck drop is set for 2:00 p.m.
