FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington girls hockey team closed out its Thanksgiving week schedule with a 4-0 home loss to the Blake Bears on Saturday afternoon at Schmitz-Maki Arena. The Tigers, now 4-2 on the season, were held scoreless despite generating 37 shots on goal.

Blake opened the scoring midway through the first period with a pair of even-strength goals from Ella Anderson and Callie Arthur to take a 2-0 lead. The Bears extended their advantage to 3-0 early in the second period with a power-play goal from Ella Bond.
Farmington created several offensive opportunities throughout the game, including 14 shots in the second period alone, but was unable to solve Blake goaltender Janie McGawn, who stopped all 37 shots she faced for the shutout.
In the third period, Blake added a final insurance goal from Bryn Heinmiller at 10:41 to close out the scoring. Farmington went 0-for-5 on the power play, while the Bears finished 1-for-5 with the advantage. The Tigers were called for five penalties totaling 10 minutes.
Goaltender Makena Underwood finished with 23 saves on 27 shots in the loss.
