APPLE VALLEY, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers girls hockey team continued their strong start to the season on Tuesday night, shutting out Eastview/Burnsville 5-0 in a dominant South Suburban Conference victory at the Apple Valley Sports Arena. With the win, Farmington improved to 5-2 overall and a perfect 4-0 in conference play.

The Tigers controlled the game from start to finish, outshooting Eastview/Burnsville 43-22 and scoring in every period. Senior forward Taylor Risch got Farmington on the board late in the first period with a goal at 15:09, assisted by Jenna Goblirsch and Addison Trapp.
Farmington extended its lead in the second period behind goals from Jenna Goblirsch at 7:11 and a second tally from Risch at 10:43. In the final frame, Ryann Bengston added a goal at 8:40, followed by a late strike from Amelia Goblirsch at 14:33 to cap off the scoring.
Despite five penalties, the Tigers' penalty kill was effective, holding Eastview/Burnsville scoreless on five power-play opportunities. Farmington went 0-for-2 on their own power plays but generated steady offensive pressure throughout.
Goaltender Addie Burggraaff was perfect between the pipes, stopping all 22 shots faced to earn the shutout.

Farmington returns home on Friday, December 5, to host the Eagan Wildcats in another South Suburban Conference matchup. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Schmitz-Maki Arena.
