Farmington Dominates Rochester Mayo with 7-0 Shutout Victory

FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers put together a dominant performance on Tuesday night, shutting out the Rochester Mayo Spartans 7-0 at Schmitz-Maki Arena. The win improves the Tigers to 8-12-1 overall and 3-9 in South Suburban Conference play, while also boosting their Section 1AA tournament seeding.

RECAP
Farmington wasted no time setting the tone, scoring three goals in the opening period. Jacob Miller got things started at 4:35, followed by Leyton Grant and Nick Marsh adding to the tally. The Tigers continued their offensive onslaught in the second period, where Marsh scored twice—including a power-play goal—while Jackson Donahue found the back of the net to push the lead to 6-0.

Donahue added his second goal late in the third period to seal the Tigers' convincing victory. Goaltender Chris Bade was perfect between the pipes, stopping all 15 shots he faced to record the shutout.

TOP TIGERS UP NEXT
Farmington looks to keep the momentum going as they host the Mankato West Scarlets on Thursday, February 6 back at Schmitz-Maki. Puck drops at 7:00 pm.
