FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers rallied from an early deficit and used a strong third period to secure a 5-2 victory over Mankato West on Thursday night at Schmitz-Maki Arena. The win improves the Tigers to 9-12-1 overall, while they remain 3-9-0 in South Suburban Conference play.

Mankato West jumped ahead early, converting on a power play goal by Brodie Cox at 10:24 of the first period. The Scarlets extended their lead midway through the second, as Jaeger Zimmerman scored shorthanded to put Farmington in a 2-0 hole.
The Tigers answered quickly, scoring twice in the final five minutes of the second period to swing momentum in their favor. Adam Jelmo put Farmington on the board at 14:49, finishing a setup from Will Harris. Just over a minute later, Kellen Conway capitalized on the power play with a goal assisted by Tanner Gylling and Jackson Donahue to even the game at 2-2 heading into the third.
Farmington dominated the final period, scoring three unanswered goals to secure the win. Leyton Grant gave the Tigers their first lead of the night at 2:22, finishing a feed from Harris and Nick Marsh. One minute later, Drake Anderson extended the advantage with an even-strength goal. Marsh capped the scoring with a power play tally at 14:01 to put the game out of reach.
Goaltender Matthew Berreman was solid in net, making 27 saves on 29 shots to backstop the Tigers to victory.
