Adam Huppert Selected As New Head Girls Basketball Coach

FARMINGTON, MN – Farmington High School Athletic Director, Keith Badger, announced on Wednesday that, pending school board approval, Adam Huppert has been named the next girls basketball head coach at Farmington High School.

Coach Huppert has spent the past 11 years coaching basketball within the boys' program in Farmington, and has also served as an assistant coach for the football program for seven years. Currently, he is a coach of the Boys JV Lacrosse team. Since choosing a coaching minor in college, Coach Huppert has always aspired to lead his own basketball program.

Over the past 15+ years, Coach Huppert has gained valuable experience officiating, coaching AAU teams, and working with athletes at various levels—from middle school through high school—in both boys' and girls' programs. These diverse experiences have provided him with a well-rounded perspective and have thoroughly prepared him for the responsibilities and challenges of leading a basketball program.

"This next chapter in Farmington girls basketball will be focused not only on success on the court, but also on developing leaders in the classroom and in the community. I am excited to be a part of this journey and am committed to fostering a culture centered on growth, accountability, and teamwork", state Huppert.

"The Farmington girls basketball program has a proud tradition and a rich history, with many talented alumni who have helped shape its legacy. As we look to the future, we will honor that foundation while continuing to build a program defined by growth, commitment, and excellence. With a strong core of returning players and a promising group of younger athletes coming up, I am confident we can meet — and exceed — the high expectations we will set for ourselves", continued Huppert.

"The support I've witnessed from the Farmington community is truly special, and I look forward to partnering with families, staff, and supporters as we take this program to new heights — together," stated Huppert.

"Farmington High School is incredibly excited for this new chapter in our program with Coach Huppert at the helm. We interviewed a strong candidate pool and Adam separated himself through his athlete-centered vision for our program rooted in an education-based approach", stated Athletic Director Keith Badger.

Coach Huppert will be working with his staff and booster club to finalize summer participation opportunities. The plans will be available on the FarmingtonTigers.com website when available.
