MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers cross country teams competed at the Roy Griak Invitational on Saturday, hosted by the University of Minnesota at Les Bolstad Golf Course. In a field packed with regional talent, the Farmington girls placed 2nd out of 44 teams in the High School Girls Maroon Division, while the boys team finished 34th in their respective race.
GIRLS RECAP
Leading the way for the Tigers was junior Lauren Lansing, who took first place overall with a time of 19:42.3 to pace the field. She was followed by ninth-grader Mara Brock in 12th place at 20:52.2. Eighth-graders Mia Tooley (21:03.8) and Shelby Carroll (21:09.7) added key finishes in 19th and 22nd place, respectively. Senior Lillian Reuss rounded out the scoring five with a 94th-place finish in 22:50.0.
Kelly Carroll (23:12.5) and Teagan McNulty (23:51.0), both eighth graders, contributed as displacement runners. Farmington's final team score of 142 points placed them just behind meet champion O'Gorman (134) and ahead of Mill Valley (159).
BOYS RECAP
The Farmington boys team was led by sophomore Carter Lippold, who placed 59th overall in 17:11.5. Senior Patrick Carroll followed closely in 69th with a time of 17:16.6. Seniors Adam Johnson and Evan Buss, along with sophomore Aidan Gillespie, rounded out the scoring five. Kieran Willenbring, Wesley Toensing, Thomas Crisp, and Logan Lindstrom also competed for the Tigers.
The team totaled 756 points in a large and competitive field of 45 teams.

Farmington will return to action on Monday, September 30, as they continue their regular season schedule and prepare for postseason meets.
