FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington cross country teams delivered strong performances on Saturday, with the boys placing 2nd out of 17 teams and the girls tying for 3rd in a field of 13 at a competitive invitational meet.
BOYS MEET RECAP
The Tigers scored 92 team points to finish second overall, just behind Stillwater Area (74) and ahead of Lakeville North and Winona, who tied for third with 110 points.
Carter Lippold led Farmington with a 4th-place finish in 16:29.8. He was followed by Patrick Carroll in 10th (16:44.4) and senior Adam Johnson in 14th (16:56.6).
Derek Sullivan posted a personal best of 17:17.3 to place 26th, and Aidan Gillespie rounded out the scoring with a personal best of 17:49.3 (38th).
Kieran Willenbring (44th, 17:54.3) and Evan Buss (46th, 17:58.1) also contributed strong races in the varsity field.
GIRLS MEET RECAP
Farmington tied Stillwater Area for 3rd place with 94 points, just behind Northfield (93) and Mankato East (79).
Lauren Lansing captured the individual title with a time of 18:49.4. Mara Brock ran a personal best 19:32.7 to place 6th overall.
Shelby Carroll (19th, 20:12.4) and Mia Tooley (21st, 20:17.9) added key points in the team scoring, while Lillian Reuss (48th, 21:25.0) completed the top five.
Charlotte Spolarich (68th, 22:18.7 PR) and Josilyn Tooley (89th, 24:24.1) also competed in the varsity race.
UP NEXT
Farmington will travel out of state for its next meet, competing in the Heartland Preview on Saturday, September 13 in South Dakota.
