Football hosted Lakeville North on Thursday, October 14 in their final regular season home game of the 2021 season. The Tigers defeated Lakeville North 22-21 in dramatic fashion.
After the first quarter, Lakeville North had built a 14-0 lead. A Tiger turnover in the second quarter, gave North great field position resulting in another touchdown making the score 21-0. Rod Finely got Farmington on the board with a 73-yard rush. The extra point made it 21-7 North.
In the fourth quarter,
Connor Weed would score on a 6-yard run to make the score 21-14. With just over 1:00 left in the game, Farmington began their final drive on their own 13 yard line. A sack on first down made it 2nd and 17 on their own 6. The Tigers found themselves looking at a 4th and 14 on their own 9 yard line. On 4th down,

Brody Hanley on a quick out route. Hanley, who caught the ball short of the first down, broke a tackle and muscled his way for a 16 yard gain to keep the drive alive. Farmington drove the ball down to the Lakeville North 28 yard line, however, time was running out. In one of the most amazing plays,

Ben Buesgens resulting in a 28-yard touchdown as time expired.
Rather than play for overtime, Farmington elected to go for the 2-point conversion.

Zach Dahl was once again the defensive tackle leader, recording 13 total tackles on the night.
Rod Finley had another standout performance on defense, with 11 total tackles.
