FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers hosted the Rosemount Irish on Friday night for their 2025 Homecoming game, but a fast start by the visiting team proved too much to overcome in a 35-7 loss at Tiger Stadium.
RECAP
Rosemount struck early with back-to-back long touchdown runs, including an 89-yard score on its opening possession. The Irish added three more rushing touchdowns, building a 28-7 lead by the start of the fourth quarter.
Farmington broke through late in the game with a one-yard touchdown run by Kwamayne Leinweber, capping off a productive offensive series for the Tigers. The extra point by Aiden Roche was good, avoiding the shutout and putting Farmington on the board.
Despite the final score, the Tigers had moments of offensive progress throughout the night. Austin Raveling led the rushing attack with 65 yards on 11 carries, and Chris Rehak added 51 yards on five attempts. Leinweber contributed on the ground and through the air, finishing with 14 rushing yards, a touchdown, and two completions for 13 passing yards.
The defense was led by a collective team effort that tallied over 70 total tackles. Farmington's special teams were highlighted by Ty Beck, who averaged 35 yards per kickoff return.
