Boys T&F make the most of warm weather

Farmington Boys Track & Field hosted Apple Valley at FHS on Monday, April 11. The meet, originally scheduled for Thursday, April 14 at Apple Valley, was moved up to take advantage of the nice weather.

The Tigers earned a total of 97 team points. Apple Valley earned 25.

Jonathan Shrum and Rod Finley took the top 2 spots in the 100m dash. Shrum finished with an 11.32 and Finley an 11.52. Shrum and Finley also finished back-to-back in 200m dash. Shrum placed 2nd with a time of 23.09 and Finley placed 3rd with a time of 23.58. McKenzie Donlan placed 2nd in the 400m dash with a time of 55.03. Faris Ayoub was the winner in the 800m run with a time of 1:56.56. The boys 110m hurdles was dominated by the Tigers. Jakob Cocarelli (18.25), Alex Lee (18.66), and Thaddeus Woodford (19.97) took the top spots. Braden Champlin won the 300m hurdles with a time of 45.01. Alex Lee finished just behind him with a time of 45.46.

In the field events, Hunter Harris won the boys high jump clearing 5-06.00. Kyle Jones won the boys pole vault with a vault of 8-06.00. Jonathan Shrum placed 1st in the long jump at 20.04.00. Ben Buesgens finished 2nd with jump of 19-09.50. Malachi Fenske placed 1st in the boys triple jump with a jump of 35-05.00. Braden Mohr was the winner of the shot put with a throw of 47.09. And, Joey Mehlhorn won the boys discus throw at 108-04.
