Farmington Softball Beats Apple Valley 8-2

Apple Valley, Minn. - On Wednesday, May 10, the Farmington Tigers clashed with the Apple Valley Eagles in a SSC game.

The Tigers emerged victorious, defeating the Eagles with a final score of 8-2, showcasing their dominance on both offense and defense.

The Tigers' offense was firing on all cylinders, led by standout performances from Katie Klotz and Lexi Goring. Klotz had a productive day at the plate, going 1 for 4 with a crucial double and driving in two runs. Her solid contributions played a significant role in the team's victory. Goring continued her impressive streak, batting 1 for 2 with two RBIs and crossing home plate once.

Hailey Hansen also made her presence felt on the basepaths, scoring two runs and showcasing her speed and agility. Her contributions added to the team's offensive output and helped secure the win.

On the defensive side, the Tigers were anchored by their pitcher, Marissa Mittelstadt. Mittelstadt delivered a stellar performance, allowing just three hits throughout the game while tallying an impressive eight strikeouts. Her dominant outing kept the Apple Valley Eagles' offense at bay and played a crucial role in securing the Tigers' victory. With this win, Mittelstadt improved her season record to an impressive 4-1.
