ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers girls swimming and diving team wrapped up a strong season with a 5th-place finish at the Section 1AA meet, held November 13-15 at the Rochester Recreation Center and Rochester Century High School. Despite having a smaller squad, the Tigers competed fiercely, accumulating 246.5 points.

The meet started with a solid performance in the 200-yard medley relay. The team of Micaela Cardoza, Taylor Gergen, Mikaela Udell, and Mikayla Gabrielson placed 6th with a time of 1:53.86, setting the tone for Farmington's success in individual events.
In the 200-yard freestyle, Mikaela Udell finished 3rd with an impressive time of 1:57.56, just missing the state qualifying mark. Micaela Cardoza also placed well in this event, coming in 7th with a time of 2:00.53.
Taylor Gergen stood out in the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing 2nd with a time of 1:06.82, which qualified her for the MSHSL Class AA State Meet. Gergen also scored in the 100-yard butterfly, placing 5th with a time of 59.17.
Mikayla Gabrielson made a strong showing in the 50-yard freestyle, placing 8th with a time of 25.49. She also competed in the 100-yard freestyle, securing a 5th-place finish with a time of 55.87, while teammate Abigail Olson finished close behind in 8th place at 57.04.
In the 500-yard freestyle, Harper Hoppe represented the Tigers in the B final, finishing 16th with a time of 5:56.74. Farmington closed the meet with a 6th-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay, as Parker Risch, Josie Ribelin, Hannah Fernandes, and Abigail Olson completed the event in 3:57.27.
