FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington High School girls swimming and diving team concluded their 2024 season with a combination of athletic and academic success. While the team finished with a 2-9-1 record, their individual and collective efforts shone brightly, highlighted by several South Suburban Conference postseason awards and a prestigious academic honor.
SSC ALL-CONFERENCE HONORS

Mikayla Gabrielson (Senior): Gabrielson capped off her high school career with SSC All-Conference recognition. She placed 8th in the 50-yard freestyle at the Section 1AA meet and was a key member of the 6th-place 200-yard medley relay team.

Taylor Gergen (Junior): Gergen earned All-Conference honors for her exceptional season. At the Section 1AA meet, she claimed 2nd place in the 100-yard breaststroke and 5th in the 100-yard butterfly, contributing to the medley relay team's success. Gergen also represented Farmington at the Class AA State Meet, finishing 10th in the 100-yard breaststroke.

Mikaela Udell (Freshman): Udell secured All-Conference honors with a standout showing at the Section 1AA meet. She took 3rd in the 200-yard freestyle and joined the medley relay team in their top-six finish.
SSC ALL-CONFERENCE HONORABLE MENTION
These athletes earned honorable mention recognition for their consistent contributions throughout the season.
TEAM ACADEMIC GOLD AWARD
In addition to their athletic achievements, the Tigers earned the Team Academic Gold Award from the Minnesota State High School Swim & Dive Coaches Association (MSHSCA) for achieving an impressive team GPA of 4.03.
