FARMINGTON, Minn. – Farmington High School proudly celebrates its athletes and coaches who earned top recognition in the 2024 Metro-South Sub-District football honors. After finishing the season with a solid 5-4 overall record, highlighted by thrilling wins over Mounds View in overtime (28-26, Week 1) and a Homecoming 40-36 victory over Rochester Mayo, the Tigers capped off the year with individual and coaching accolades.
Senior quarterback Jonah Ask was named Offensive Player of the Year, sharing the honor in a three-way tie. Ask delivered a stellar season leading the Tigers' offense, finishing with 1,413 passing yards, 11 passing touchdowns, and an impressive 68.5% completion rate. On the ground, Ask added 654 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns.
Senior wide receiver and return specialist Brock Wyandt also made headlines, earning selection to the MFCA/Minnesota Vikings All-Star Football Game. Wyandt's explosive plays and versatility made him one of the region's most dynamic players.
Farmington's coaching staff received significant recognition as well. Assistant Coach Shane Wyandt was named Assistant Coach of the Year. Coach Wyandt, Assistant Coach Brad Eby, and Assistant Coach Matt Johnson were all presented with Legacy Awards, honoring their contributions to Farmington football and their commitment to the program's growth.
These achievements underscore the Tigers' excellence on the field in 2024.
