Tigers Hold Off Eastview for 35-28 Victory

FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers opened their 2025 football season with a 35-28 win over Eastview on Thursday night. Behind a dominant ground game and a key defensive stand in the fourth quarter, the Tigers secured the home victory to start the year 1-0.

Both teams traded scores throughout the first half, heading into the break tied 14-14. Farmington struck first with a 23-yard touchdown run from Chris Rehak, who later added two more rushing scores from 2 and 1 yards out. Eastview answered through the air, connecting on touchdown passes of 26 and 15 yards.

Farmington took control in the third quarter with back-to-back touchdown runs. Ty Beck broke free for a 24-yard score, and Austin Raveling followed with a 5-yard touchdown to push the lead to 35-21. Eastview closed the gap with a touchdown pass in the fourth quarter, but the Tigers' defense held strong late to seal the win.

Farmington finished the night with 394 total yards, including 315 on the ground.

TOP TIGERS

  • Chris Rehak rushed for 103 yards and 3 touchdowns on 12 carries.
  • Ty Beck tallied 106 rushing yards and a touchdown on 8 carries, added 36 receiving yards on 2 catches, and totaled 109 return yards.
  • Austin Raveling carried the ball 13 times for 38 yards and a touchdown, and added 29 kickoff return yards.
  • Quarterback Cade Boyles rushed for 22 yards and added 79 passing yards.
  • Blake Johnson had one reception for 43 yards.
  • Aiden Roche went 5-for-5 on PATs and handled punting duties with two kicks for 50 yards.
  • Defensively, Max Blandin, Cole Busse, and Danny Sather were among the leaders in tackles, while Logan Petsinger recorded a sack and a pass breakup.

Farmington travels to Lakeville North on Friday, September 5, for a district matchup with the Panthers. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
