FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers opened the 20th Annual Louis Schmitz Holiday Classic in dominant fashion, shutting out the New Prague Trojans 8-0 at Schmitz-Maki Ice Arena on Thursday night. The Tigers overwhelmed New Prague with a relentless offensive attack, outshooting their opponent 69-3 en route to the decisive victory.

Farmington set the tone early, scoring four goals in the first period and maintaining complete control throughout the contest. Lexi Giller led the charge with two power-play goals in quick succession, assisted by Amara Zens and Norah Kratz. Taylor Risch and Jenna Goblirsch added to the lead, with Goblirsch notching her first of two goals on the night.
The Tigers added two more goals in the second period, extending their lead to 6-0 behind Goblirsch's second goal and a tally from Payton Blom. Farmington capped off the rout with two additional goals in the third period from Josey Empey and Ryann Bengston.
Goaltender Addison Moudry stopped all three shots she faced, recording a shutout in a stellar defensive effort by Farmington.
