CHAMPLIN PARK, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers girls wrestling team delivered strong performances at the Rebel Girls Invitational at Champlin Park High School on December 27, highlighted by multiple podium finishes across both varsity and junior varsity divisions.
RECAP
Lilliane Stevens led the Tigers with a 5th-place finish at 106 pounds in the varsity bracket. Stevens rebounded from a quarterfinal loss, pinning Emilie Troster of Albert Lea Area in the consolation semifinals before securing 5th place with a fall at 4:40 over Lexi Morrison from Rush City-Braham.
At 118 pounds, Alexandra Thovson advanced to the semifinals with a fall over Hastings' Allison Weinzettel in 5:19. Despite falling in the semis, Thovson claimed 4th place after a tough match against Maggie Olson from Albert Lea Area, finishing the day with a 1-2 record.
In junior varsity action, Kylie Goodreau (112) and Lillian Coyer (142) both earned 5th-place finishes. Goodreau picked up two pins, including a fall in 5:58 over Evelyn Kaufman of Hastings in the consolation bracket. Coyer matched that effort with two pins, capping her day by pinning Adilyn Evenson from St. Michael-Albertville in 2:24.

The Tigers will return to competition after the New Year when they travel to Kaukauna, WI High School for the annual Cheesehead Invitational.
