Farmington, Minn. -- In the 2024 season-opener, the Farmington Tigers showcased their resilience as they secured a hard-fought victory against the Shakopee Sabers with a final score of 6-4.
The bottom of the 4th inning saw the Tigers breaking the stalemate with a single by

Kamryn Hughes and advancing
Hannah Hansen to third, setting the tone for the innings to follow.
However, the Sabers quickly responded in the top of the 5th inning with a single, knotting the score at 1-1. Yet, the Tigers persisted, seizing control in the bottom of the 6th inning. A series of walks and errors allowed them to add four crucial runs to their tally, putting them ahead 6-1.
Nevertheless, the Sabers refused to concede defeat, mounting a late-game comeback effort in the top of the 7th inning. With a pair of singles coupled with a sacrifice fly, they managed to narrow the gap to 6-4.
Despite the Sabers' late rally, the Tigers' held off their charge securing the 6-4 win.
