Prior Lake, Minn. -- In South Suburban Conference action, the Farmington Varsity Tigers secured a commanding 6-1 victory over the Prior Lake Lakers.
The Tigers wasted no time asserting their offensive presence, notching a trio of runs in the opening inning.
Kam Hughes led the charge with a single, followed by
Hannah Hansen's line drive to center field that brought in a run.
Leah Oistad then added to the tally with another single. The Tigers continued their offensive onslaught in the second inning, with Hughes delivering another crucial hit to extend the lead to 3-0.
Maintaining their momentum into the third inning, Farmington added another run courtesy of Olivia McMahon's single, increasing their advantage to 4-0. However, Prior Lake managed to break through in the fourth inning, with a single bringing in their first run of the game.
Undeterred, Farmington responded in the sixth inning to further solidify their lead. Lila Johannsen's single drove in Hughes, while a sacrifice fly by Hansen and some crafty base running extended the Tigers' lead to 6-1.
