Farmington, Minn. -- In a 9-hole dual contest on Tuesday, May 14th, the Farmington Tigers hosted the Shakopee Sabers at the Fountain Valley Golf Club in Farmington, MN. The Tigers secured a convincing victory over the Sabers, finishing with a cumulative score of 189 compared to Shakopee's 222.
Leading the charge for the Tigers was Jayla Mao, a freshman, who claimed the top spot overall with a score of 43 strokes. Mao demonstrated consistency throughout the match, managing to par on 4 out of the 9 holes.
Following closely behind was Scarlett Hedrick, another freshman from Farmington, securing second place overall with a score of 53 strokes. Hedrick showcased her skills by achieving a par on hole 6.
Kailey Watson, a senior from Farmington, contributed to the team's success by delivering a solid performance, finishing with a score of 49 strokes and achieving a par on hole 6.
Chloe Friesz, a seventh-grader, represented Farmington with a score of 56 strokes, showcasing potential for growth and development in future matches.
Annika Reuss, a junior from Farmington, demonstrated her proficiency on the course by sinking pars on holes 1, 4, and 3, ultimately finishing with a score of 48 strokes.
Additionally, Alana Hansen, a freshman from Farmington, showcased her skills by achieving pars on holes 2 and 4, finishing with a score of 49 strokes.
