Farmington, Minn. -- In a commanding performance on Wednesday night at Farmington High School, the softball added another victory to their season record, now standing at 12-1.
Facing off against the Apple Valley Eagles, the Tigers roared to a 10-2 win, fueled by a dominant second inning where they posted six runs.

Lila Johannsen were instrumental in this offensive surge, each contributing key hits to drive in runs. A wild pitch also added to the Tigers' scoring momentum.
Although the Eagles managed to notch two runs in the top of the fourth inning, including a home run by Ginny Gores, their efforts fell short against the resilient Tigers. Marissa Mittelstadt took to the circle first for Farmington, delivering a solid performance with seven strikeouts over seven innings, allowing just three hits and two runs.
Aliyah Passmore started on the mound for the Apple Valley but struggled against the relentless Farmington offense, conceding 12 hits and 10 runs over six innings of play.
The Tigers showcased their offensive depth, racking up 12 hits throughout the game. Leah Oistad and Lila Johannsen stood out with three hits each, while Brynn Lickfelt and Lexi Goring made significant contributions, each driving in three runs. Kam Hughes also made her presence felt with two hits in four at-bats.
Farmington's disciplined plate approach was evident, drawing five walks over the course of the game. Defensively, the Tigers were flawless, committing zero errors and demonstrating sure-handedness in the field. Katie Klotz was particularly active, handling seven chances without fault.
For the Eagles Varsity, Ginny Gores led the offensive charge, driving in two runs, while Bella Kruckow and Aliyah Passmore contributed with one hit each.
With this victory secured, the Farmington will hit the road for their next challenge, traveling to Burnsville for their upcoming game on Thursday.
