FARMINGTON, Minn. -- The Farmington Tigers hosted the 2024 Cowbell Classic on Thursday, September 26, with strong performances across the board. The girls' cross country team claimed first place, showing dominance throughout the race, while the boys' team finished in sixth place in a competitive field.
On the girls' side, Lauren Lansing led the Tigers, placing 2nd overall with a time of 19:17.2. She was supported by top-25 finishes from Sophia Venning (11th, 20:25.6), Brylee Cavanaugh (21st, 20:57.6), and Mara Brock (23rd, 21:07.3). Lindsey Woestehoff also made a significant contribution with a 14th-place finish in 20:37.9, helping secure the victory for the team.
For the boys, Adam Johnson and Patrick Carroll were nearly inseparable, finishing 20th and 21st respectively with times of 16:55.7 and 16:55.9. Carter Lippold followed closely, crossing the line in 38th place at 17:48.6. Despite strong efforts from Thomas Crisp and Wesley Toensing, who rounded out the team's scoring with times of 19:07.7 and 19:23.0, the Tigers placed 6th overall.
