ROCHESTER, Minn. – Farmington wrestlers Lex Thovson and Lilliane Stevens put together strong performances at the MSHSL Section 1 & 2 Individual Girls Wrestling Tournament, held February 7-8 at Rochester Century High School. Thovson secured a 3rd-place finish at 112 pounds, while Stevens battled her way to a 6th-place result at 100 pounds.

Thovson showcased resilience in her bracket, advancing to the semifinals with back-to-back falls, including a quarterfinal pin over Brandy Christonson of GMLOS. In the semifinals, she narrowly fell to Hayden Hawkins (Wabasha-Kellogg) in a hard-fought 8-7 decision. She rebounded in the consolation rounds, earning another fall over Chatfield's Maizee Priebe before defeating Christonson again in the 3rd-place match by pinfall at 5:21.
Stevens had a strong start at 100 pounds, earning an 8-0 major decision over Apple Valley's Madilyn Trottier in the second round. After a quarterfinal loss, she wrestled through the consolation bracket, securing a technical fall over Kasson-Mantorville's Eliana O'Donoghue and a pin against GMLOS' Chloe Hubbard. Stevens ultimately finished 6th after a loss to Ivy Brandenburg (Northfield) in the consolation semifinals and a fall to Emily Bova (Chatfield) in the 5th-place match.
Kylie Goodreau put together an impressive 2024-25 season competing with heart at in the section tournament. The sophomore battled through a tech fall loss and a major decision loss to close out her season.
