LAKEVILLE, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers continued their dominant start to the 2025 softball season with a 7-0 victory over Lakeville North on Friday afternoon. With the win, the Tigers improved to 3-0 and have yet to allow a single run through three games, outscoring opponents by a combined 33-0 margin.
RECAP
Farmington struck early, putting two runs on the board in the top of the first. Ellie Peterson delivered a sacrifice fly to open the scoring, and Leah Oistad followed with an RBI single to center to give the Tigers a quick 2-0 lead.
Kayley Schuenemann led the Tigers' offense with a perfect 4-for-4 performance at the plate. The senior capped off her day with a two-run home run to left field in the seventh inning and also added three singles throughout the game.
Farmington added runs in the third and fourth innings to extend their lead to 5-0 before Schuenemann's homer sealed it at 7-0 in the final frame.
In the circle, Kayla Schweich was in command once again. The junior tossed a complete game shutout, allowing just two hits while striking out five and walking three. The Tigers' defense backed her with a clean performance, turning one double play and committing no errors.

UP NEXT
The Tigers return home on Monday, April 14, to host the undefeated Rosemount Irish in a key early-season matchup. First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. at Farmington High School. Rosemount enters the contest also unbeaten, having allowed just one run through its first three games.
