FARMINGTON, Minn. – Lila Johannsen turned in a career night at the plate, driving in seven runs to lead the Farmington Tigers past Lakeville North 13-6 on Wednesday evening at Farmington High School. With the win, the Tigers improved to 8-1 on the season and took over sole possession of first place in the South Suburban Conference standings.

The Tigers wasted no time putting pressure on the Panthers, striking for two runs in the bottom of the first. Kayley Schuenemann tripled to bring in a run, and Johannsen grounded out to bring home another.
Johannsen continued her big night with a two-run double in the second inning, then delivered a two-run single in a seven-run third inning. She capped her performance with another two-run double in the fourth, finishing 3-for-4 with seven RBIs.
Farmington's third-inning outburst broke the game open, as the Tigers collected six hits in the frame. Ellie Peterson doubled home two runs, Leah Oistad added an RBI double, and Kayla Schweich launched a two-run homer to left.
Olivia Peterson earned the win in the circle, going the distance while allowing eight hits and six runs (four earned), walking two and striking out one.
The Tigers racked up 14 hits on the night. Schuenemann, Schweich, and Peyton Boyd each tallied multiple hits, and Farmington played solid defense, turning a double play and committing no errors in the field.
