FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers are headed to the MSHSL Class AAAA State Softball Tournament and will enter the eight-team field as the No. 3 seed. The tournament begins Tuesday, June 3, and will be hosted at North Mankato's Caswell Park and the University of Minnesota.
Farmington (22-2 overall, 16-2 South Suburban Conference) will face No. 6 seed White Bear Lake (18-6 overall, 12-6 Suburban East Conference) in the quarterfinal round. First pitch is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at Caswell Park.
The Tigers, who captured the Section 1AAAA title with a 10-1 win over Lakeville North, bring one of the state's most complete teams into the tournament. Led by consistent pitching, a deep lineup, and reliable defense, Farmington will look to build on its postseason momentum.
White Bear Lake, representing Section 4AAAA, comes into the matchup with a strong record and experience against a competitive conference slate. The quarterfinal matchup is expected to be one of several tightly contested games as the tournament opens.
Seeding for the Class AAAA bracket was announced Saturday, May 31, with the Tigers receiving the No. 3 slot based on regular season and section performance.
Tournament Details
The MSHSL State Softball Tournament runs June 3–6, with most of the Class AAAA games scheduled for Caswell Park in North Mankato. The championship game will be played at the University of Minnesota's Jane Sage Cowles Stadium.
