Girls Hockey Falls to Hill-Murray

Girls Hockey hosted Hill-Murray on Monday, January 31 at Schmitz-Maki in their final regular season home game of the 2021-22 season. Farmington (9-14, 7-9 SSC) lost a close game to the Pioneers (15-8, 7-0 MEC) 4-3.

In a back-and-forth game, Hill-Murray scored first to make the game 1-0. The Tigers' Sam Moehle responded a few minutes later to even the game at 1. The Pioneers answered, making the game 2-1. Ava Johnson lit the lamp late in the first period to, once again, tie the game. The first period would end with a 2-2 score.

Farmington scored first in the second period to earn a 3-2 lead courtesy of Abby Gehrke, however, a Josie Skoogman goal would tie the game 3-3.

The lone third period goal came in the final few minutes of the third period to give the Pioneers the 4-3 win.

Freshman Addison Moudry played an outstanding game in net stopping 34/38 shots she faced. Her performance kept the Tigers in the game for the most of the night.
