Burnsville, Minn. -- Farmington football put together an impressive showing on Friday, October 13 when the team traveled to Burnsville High School and defeated the Blaze 57-0.
Farmington is now on a two-game win streak and has scored 113 points in their last two games. Farmington entered the game 1-5 overall and the Blaze were 2-4.
In the first quarter,
Brock Wyandt scored the Tigers' first points on a 21-yard scamper to cap off the drive.
Jonah Ask would convert the two-point conversion to give the Tigers an 8-0 lead. Minutes later,
Jonah Ask would rush for an 11-yard touchdown. After a Giesler PAT, the Tigers would lead 15-0. In the quarter's final seconds,
Brock Wyandt would score his second touchdown of the game, giving the Tigers a 22-0 lead at the break.
In the second quarter, Farmington continued to pour on the points.
Jonah Ask would turn a scramble into a 62-yard touchdown run to extend the Tigers' lead to 29-0. With 3:57 left in the half, Ask found
Cole Wilcek on a 13-yard pass to give Farmington a 36-0 lead at halftime.
As the second half began, the wind and rain continued to be a factor.
Brock Wyandt would convert a Blaze punt into a 27-yard touchdown after he picked up a bouncing ball and evaded the Burnsville defenders. Junior
Layne Johnson saw action late in the third quarter and made his time count rushing for a 2-yard touchdown giving the Tigers a 50-0 lead.
Sophomore Austin Raveling scored the Tigers' final points of the night when he scored on a 4-yard rush for the 4th quarter's only points.
Farmington improves to 2-5 with the 57-0 victory.
