Farmington, Minn. -- It was a special night in Farmington as the Tigers won their first contest of the year, a conference victory over Eagan 56-28.
The Tigers kicked off Homecoming by opening the scoring on Friday with a two-yard touchdown pass to
Cody Rezny. Eagan would then score 14 unanswered points to take their first lead of the contest.
The Tigers responded with 14 points of their own.
Jonah Ask found Trevor Rasmussen across the middle for a 45-yard catch-and-run touchdown to tie things up. Ask and Rasmussen connected again inside the redzone for a 19-yard passing touchdown.
A costly pass interference penalty helped Eagan even up the score before halftime in the final minute, 21-21. Ask had three passing touchdowns and one interception off the receiver's hands at the break.
This week, the Tigers didn't let their foot off the gas after halftime.
Brock Wyandt scored on a four-yard rush. Ask threw his fourth passing TD on a one-yard pass to Rezny again.
The Tigers led 35-28 and dialed up a bubble screen for Wyandt, who took it 82 yards to the house.
Jeffrey Branson took one 45 yards into the endzone on the ground. Junior backup QB
Isaiah Bramer put a cap on the scoring with a 14-yard rushing touchdown. The Tigers head to Burnsville next week.
