ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers wrapped up the Section 1AA Swim & Dive Finals with a strong effort, finishing in fifth place overall.

Daniel Budde, Ethan Lyons, Hudson Maakestad, and Collin Hawkins opened the night with a fifth-place finish in the 200 medley relay, posting a time of 1:45.27.

In the 200 freestyle, Eli Gobar finished 13th with a time of 1:56.45. Eli Montgomery secured an eighth-place podium finish at 1:51.24, while Hantruy Nguyen impressed with a third-place finish at 1:47.96.

Collin Hawkins took 12th in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:10.57, and Justin Raymond reached the podium in eighth place at 2:07.78.

Tyler West placed ninth in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.80. Adam Moorlach earned a state meet qualification, finishing third with a time of 21.44 seconds.

In the 100 butterfly, Ethan Lyons placed 13th at 1:02.20, Daniel Budde finished 10th at 57.05, and Hudson Maakestad made the podium in eighth place with a time of 58.40.

The Tigers had three swimmers in the championship heat of the 100 freestyle. Tyler West took eighth at 50.92, Eli Montgomery placed seventh at 50.18, and Adam Moorlach secured a state meet berth with a fourth-place time of 46.98.

In the 500 freestyle, Eli Gobar finished 13th at 5:24.60. Hantruy Nguyen and Justin Raymond both swam personal bests in the championship heat, with Nguyen placing sixth at 4:59.51 and Raymond finishing just ahead of him at 4:59.39.

The Tigers qualified for the state meet in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:29.20. The relay team featured Adam Moorlach, Tyler West, Eli Montgomery, and Hantruy Nguyen.

Wyatt Conine finished 12th in the 100 backstroke at 1:02.44, while Daniel Budde made the podium with a fifth-place time of 57.05.

Farmington narrowly missed qualifying for the state meet in the 400 freestyle relay, finishing third with a time of 3:17.20, just 0.53 seconds off the qualifying mark. The team included Moorlach, West, Montgomery, and Nguyen.

• 200 Freestyle Relay Team (Moorlach, West, Montgomery, Nguyen) – 3rd place, State qualifier (1:29.20).

The qualifying Tigers will compete at the MSHSL Class AA Boys Swimming & Diving Meet March 6-8 at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center on the campus of the University of Minnesota.
