Hall of Fame
Sam Schmitz was an accomplished three-sport athlete at Farmington High School, participating in golf, hockey, and cross country. He excelled particularly in golf, where he earned five varsity letters and achieved all-state honors, establishing himself as one of the top golfers in school history. After graduation, Sam continued his success at St. John’s University, where he became a multiple-time MIAC Champion, further solidifying his reputation as an elite golfer. His accomplishments on the course have led to his induction into both the Minnesota Golf Hall of Fame and St. John’s Athletics Hall of Honor, recognizing his significant contributions to the sport and his enduring legacy.
