Athletic Achievements
Timothy Sejba, a member of the Farmington High School Class of 1990, is a distinguished multi-sport athlete whose accomplishments on the fi eld remain an inspiration. Throughout his four years at FHS, Tim made an indelible mark in the world of high school athletics. As a captain of the football team, he earned All-Metro honors and played a pivotal role in leading his team to a Conference Championship in his senior year. Tim was not only a standout on the gridiron but also displayed remarkable versatility in other sports, contributing to the success of the school’s baseball, basketball, and wrestling teams.
Musical Excellence
Beyond athletics, Tim exhibited a passion for music that led him to become a key fi gure in the school’s music program. He was an active participant in the Marching Band, Symphonic Band, and served as the Lead Trumpet in Jazz Band. His musical talent and leadership in these ensembles were a testament to his well-rounded abilities, showcasing the same discipline and dedication that characterized his athletic career.
Academic Distinction: Tim's academic achievements were equally impressive. Graduating in the Top 10 of his class, he demonstrated exceptional intelligence and work ethic. A proud member of the National Honor Society, Tim was recognized for his dedication to excellence both in and out of the classroom, making him a model student for his peers.
Post-High School Accomplishments
After high school, Tim continued to excel at the University of Minnesota Duluth, where he attended on an Air Force ROTC scholarship for Computer Engineering. He graduated in 1995 as a Distinguished Graduate from the Air Force ROTC program and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant. His academic and leadership potential was recognized early on, setting the stage for his remarkable military career.
Military Service and Current Role
Tim Sejba’s service to the nation is nothing short of extraordinary. Today, he serves as a Major General in the United States Space Force, the newest and 6th branch of the U.S. Armed Forces that focuses on space operations and defense. As a key leader in the service’s creation, his leadership, commitment, and vision have played a signifi cant role in shaping the future of the Space Force. Over his 30 plus year career, Tim has served in a wide variety of operations and acquisition leadership positions within the Air Force, Space Force, National Reconnaissance Offi ce, Defense Threat Reduction Agency and United States Strategic Command. His assignments include duties as a Flight Commander, Project Manager, Executive Offi cer, Congressional Liaison, Squadron Commander, Group Commander, Deputy Program Director, Program Director, Program Executive Offi cer and Field Command Commander.

Tim’s legacy is one of excellence, versatility, and service. From his athletic prowess at Farmington High School to his groundbreaking work in the Space Force, Tim Sejba continues to inspire those who follow in his footsteps. His leadership, character, and contributions to both his community and country embody the values that the Farmington High School Hall of Fame seeks to honor.
